About Herbalists

Are you weary or wary of taking prescribed medicine and would like to try an alternative? Herbal medicine provides exactly that!

What is herbalism?

Herbalism is the use of herbs as a natural and effective medicine to restore the body to health and vitality. Herbs can help with a lot of complaints. Their additional benefits often include:

  • Increased energy levels
  • Better sleep patterns
  • Clearer skin
  • Improved digestion
  • A general feeling of well-being.

Is herbalism a new treatment?

Herbs and plants have been used since ancient times for health purposes and as food throughout the nations of the world. Herbs have been described as having healing properties in the Vedic texts of ancient India, old Chinese writings and in the Bible.

How are the herbs administered?

The most popular forms of herb-taking are tinctures, capsules and teas. A tincture is an alcoholic extract of the active ingredients in the plants and can usually be taken in drops or teaspoonfuls (depending on the individual) with hot or cold water, with or after meals.

In general then, herbs can be administered through:

  • Tinctures
  • Decoctions
  • Powders
  • Pills
  • Lotions
  • Teas
  • Syrups
  • Creams or compresses.

A herbal formula usually consists of a number of herbs which act in combination to suit the patient’s needs. Many of the plants used in herbal prescriptions are the predecessors of modern drugs in use today.

Herbs grow in order for us to use them and they have all the ingredients for us to improve our health.

In Kirlian photography, plants have an emanating life force. The vitality of the plants and the synergistic effect of the ingredients in the herbal formulas will rebuild vitality and restore whatever part of the body is weak and out of balance.
